SERIES: EARTHEN
Neutral earthtones dominate this series of highly textured paintings I call the Earthen Series. One thing I noticed when arriving in Tucson from life lived on the east coast: the Southwest has a lot of dirt, and that dirt is multicolored. I never realized how beautiful these tones could be until I started working with them. Limiting my pallete proved frustrating at first, then gave way to a freedom of expression.
